Processor for Volatile Organic Compounds (RTO)



For a long time, direct or catalytic combustion systems have been applied to process exhaust gases containing lean VOC or gases containing odorous components. Recently, in response to a surge of the energy cost and the reuse demand, combustion/heat accumulation systems and solvent recovery/reuse systems attract a great deal of considerable attention. GPE can carries out both systems.

What is Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO)?
RTO adopts a high thermal efficiency method to deodorize Volatile Organic Compounds(VOC) and exhaust gases containing odious smells and lean combustibles.

[Features and system]

There are two types of RTO, a rotary type regenerative combustion system and multi-stage switching system. Out of the two systems, GPE carries out the former system.
The features of RTO are as follows,

・GPE can design RTO systems reflecting specific, individual conditions based on the standard system.
・GPE can select the optimum condition among diferrent combinations of kinds and numbers of heat-storing body.
・Any kind of supplementary fuel and start-up fuel can be used to fire.
・Electricity and waste solvent can be utilized for heating.
・By integrating a fan for sealing, the system can maintain high cracking efficiency for many years.
・The installed capacity of RTO can be reduced by increasing the concentration of VOC using a concentrator.
・When the concentration of VOC increases, it is possible to recover waste heats from steam, hot water and hot air, etc.
・The operation of the system is easy with an appropriate safety system and automatic operation.
・To make maintenance easy and lower maintenance cost.

・Processing of different VOCs (printing, painting, lamination)
・Deodorizing different odors (water processing aeration smell, food, animal industry・chicken raising)
・Combustion treatment of lean combustibles, such as methane (to reduce amount of emission of warming gas)
